As an intermedia artist based in Brooklyn, I explore the intricate relationships between sound, image, space, and location. As a cellist, vocalist, and innovator, I integrate sound morphology into my recordings and compositions. Using reel-to-reel tape recorders, I capture my voice alongside the unique acoustic qualities of each performance space. I design and enhance instruments with electronics to expand their interactive capabilities and amplify their sound.
I view sound not merely as fleeting waves but as a sculptural medium that can be shaped physically and perceived emotionally. My artistic philosophy embraces technologies that merge with embodied experiences, fragmented landscapes, metaphysical inquiries, and the symbolic personification of nature. Through art, I challenge traditional ideas about space, objects, and the nature of being.
My body of work resonates with narratives that hint at untold stories, interwoven with elements of myth and poetic expression. My creations encourage reflection on the hidden forces that influence our perception of reality, revealing mysteries that lie beneath the surface.
Poetic lyrics add an air of mystery as I sing through a vintage microphone and manipulate my voice through a reel to reel tape machine, evoking a connection to early forms of technology and the nostalgic sounds of radio broadcasting.
